yea that would really hurt lol, but you have to remember that these are pve only, but it would take out some bosses quite well.

and to all people saying that its skill over time played...... why cant it be both? skill is a major factor and time is a minor one, cause like i said a good build is way better than any item listed here.

I'm somewhat confused as to how exactly that is a drawback?

So maybe Crystalline Swords should be more powerful than everything else because of how rare they are?

Once again, this is why I think they should be balanced by taking up a skill slot, that's a *real* drawback.

If not, for the irony, the monk weapon should have -3Health Regen and +1 Energy regen, making mending mandatory for it to be used well =P

This is what seperates GW from others.

I can see it now...

" NOOB out of the group you dont even have Red weaps LAWL, take your greens and go home noob! HAHAH!!H!H11 "

Who cares if I dont "commit" as much. I commit at work, where I can get a raise. This is a game.
Yes lets just remove every monster in gw and roll the endgame credits upon making a character, because everyone should be equal

who needs variation? these wepaons are much more powerful than anything currently out there - that everyone will be running these weapons and NOTHING else. lol - you think we currently have too many cookie cutters? lol - wait till anything like this idea is released, EVERYONE will be packing these weapons and ONLY these weapons.

who needs DIVERSITY?

How did you make the jump from, "Let's not have to outfit our characters with one particular weapon that takes forever and a day to get, in order to be accepted into PUGs," to, "I don't want to play the game at all, just push the GG button plzkthnx."

People want to play the game, not be forced to grind for something. This is GW's philosophy, and hopefully it sticks to it.

none of these weapons are good enough to be required....... and 70% of people will not have them so it will not be required........ i just think those who have done urgoz have done the deep have done DoA and beat all 3 campaigns should have something to work at...... maybe you get one piece for completing urgoz, another for the deep, another form mallyx and one from the end of each campaign..... you get all taht and you get a wep...... its hard enough..... yet not too hard imo....

one guess as to where the 70% of people who do not have them will go - if you think the QQing is bad now on these forums, wait till you see the QQing over people who would like to have skill > time, instead of grind > everyone else.

Yea...

Most of those are SIGNIFICANTLY better than any other item in the game.

Go at least try to learn about balance before you start trying to introduce crap like this.

very few thing in GW are actually 'required' - you can complete most of GW with nothing more than starter armour - heal sig - mending on your bar. Does that mean that everything other than starter armour/heal sig/ mending should cost 100K+100ecto and be ridiculously out of balance?

if you want to grind for uber leet items of pwnsauce - go play WoW.

yes these are significantly better than reg weapons...... that was the intent.... but are any of these soo good that you cannot do something without them.... no they are not, they just make the jobs easier. if people do req these then well they are dumb, and hum i wonder where i have heard this before hummmm.

"OMFG GREEN WEAPONS, now everyone is gunna req these."

"OMFG TITLES, now everyone is gunan req all these titles"

"OMFG PVE ONLY SKILLS, now everyone is gunna req these"

bye bye DIVERSITY.

um why would anyone take anything over reds, well the same reason people take anything over req8 crystalline swords, and high end greens. cause they cant get to them.... and if you get one then great, but you still need other weps for other atts, yes these weps would be favored but not the only ones you see......

high end greens provide no advatange over any similar crafter wepaons/mods. reds provide a significant advantage over everything and anything else.

Except that these provide no additional in-game bonus. Your proposed weapons are grossly out of balance, and would become a requirement for end-game areas, because of their power level.

Those weapons would provide a ridiculous advantage in normal mode. Unless these items can only be used in hardmode or you have to jump through hoops to get them, this idea is without merit. Mainly due to the fact that ArenaNet would have to work the entire game around the items rather than the items being worked into the game.

Anyway, those are my two cents.

You are rewarded with playing more.

You are rewarded with skill.

You learn the profession, learn things that no "noob" as you would call them, will ever know. You will be able to construct original, powerful builds- unless of course you spend all your time running a cookie cutter.

Grind should not be rewarded. Why should player A be rewarded for sitting there having no fun for 10 hours a day while player B wants to have a life yet still play the game? Red weapons are a horrible idea and fortunately I doubt they will ever be implemented.
